The Columbus Curling Club hosts private Learn to Curl clinics for corporations, sports teams, school/youth groups, or social groups. It is equipped with a warm room with seating, a bar and viewing screens. If there are any members of your group that only want to watch, there is plenty of seating to view all the activity.
The Columbus Curling Club is a completely volunteer run organization and runs member leagues 6 nights a week. Due to this we are only able to offer outings at certain, pre-determined times. If one of these dates and times doesn't work for your group, we hope to be able to get you out on the ice in the future! You can join the "New Outing Dates Notification" mailing list on the right of the page if you would like to be notified when new outing dates are posted.

What to expect
All outings will last approximately two hours and start with an off-ice introduction to the sport and safety review. Next, the participants will head out onto the ice to learn how to sweep and deliver stones. Finally, the group will be divided into teams of 4 players each to play a game for the final hour. After the conclusion of the game, participants are welcome to relax in our warm room for a drink. It is curling tradition that the winners buy the losers a beverage. We have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for purchase. The price for the outing provides each participant with instruction, equipment and a one-day social membership, allowing them to purchase beverages from the in-club bar. Per our license, alcoholic beverages can not be brought in and must be purchased from the Club.

Curling is a sport where teams have to work together and communicate to be successful. Bring your team out to learn our sport and have a great time in the process.
If the participant is under 18 years of age then their parent/legal guardian will need to sign a liability release form. We also have a Concussion Awareness and Information sheet for parents to read.
What time should I arrive?
Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to sign in and change your shoes.
What do I wear?
Bring a clean pair of rubber soled tennis shoes to change into at the club. This is required.
Wear loose fitting, stretchy clothing. Jeans are not recommended as they may restrict leg movement.
Dress in layers. The air temperature on the ice is around 40 degrees, but can get as low as 32 degrees depending on the outdoor temperature. You may get warm from sweeping and want to remove a layer of clothes.
