Current Available Outing Dates and Cost:

(If you are looking for information and dates for private outings please click here)

Our daytime outings are sold out for the rest of the year, we look forward to hosting you starting in the fall of 2024! If you want to be the first to know when new outing dates are available to book, sign up for the "New Outing Dates Notification" mailing list on the right.

The Columbus Curling Club is a completely volunteer run organization and runs member leagues 6 nights a week. Due to this we are only able to offer outings at certain, pre-determined times. Daytime private outings are particularly hard to gather volunteers for. If one of these dates and times doesn't work for your group, we hope to be able to get you out on the ice in the future! You can join the "New Outing Dates Notification" mailing list on the right of the page if you would like to be notified when new outing dates are posted.

The link below will take you to our square store where you will be able to directly purchase your outings for the number of sheets you need. The sheets available column of this table will be updated daily, but may not reflect the most up to date availability, which will be reflected in the store.

  • $500 per sheet for 2 hours
    • 1 sheet for up to 10 people
    • 2 sheets for up to 17 people
    • 3 sheets for up to 24 people

Rental time includes 30 minutes after the 2-hour on-ice outing. If groups would like to use our warm room space for time in addition to the curling outing, they can do so for $75/hour. Groups are welcome to bring in snacks, non-alcoholic beverages or catered meals, but know that we do not have kitchen facilities.

The price for the outing provides each participant with instruction, equipment and a one-day social membership, allowing them to purchase beverages from the in-club bar. Per our license, alcoholic beverages can not be brought in and must be purchased from the Club.

The outing will last approximately two hours and starts with an off-ice introduction to the sport and safety review. Next, the participants will head out onto the ice to learn how to sweep and deliver stones. Finally, the group will be divided into teams of 4 players each to play a game for the final hour.

After the conclusion of the game, participants are welcome to relax in our warm room for a drink. It is curling tradition that the winners buy the losers a beverage. We have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for purchase.

Curling is a sport where teams have to work together and communicate to be successful. Bring your team out to learn our sport and have a great time in the process.

Good curling!

Participants only need to bring comfortable, loose fitting and warm clothes as well as clean athletic shoes. Jeans you can squat in are acceptable, but sports pants are better. We prefer people to carry in the shoes they plan to wear on the ice. Shoes that have just been worn on the street can contain dirt and road salt that affects the condition of the ice. We do have a boot cleaner if you do not have alternative shoes. There are also changing rooms for men and women available.

Member Outings

Member outings are when a club member wants to bring a group to the club to introduce them to curling. A member outing means that the member in question will be responsible for instructing their group or sourcing more instructors as needed by themselves. If you do not want to have to worry about instructors, then you'd want to book a private outing. The benefit of a member outing is that it is much cheaper. You and your guest are of course still free to utilize any club equipment that you need. Please be sure to have all participants sign a liability waiver.

This year there are two ways to book a member outing, outlined below. Please also read the refund policy at the bottom of the page. If you have any difficulties booking, or have any questions, please email Matt Webber @ This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Option 1 spots are sold out for the rest of the season. Never fear! You can scroll down and use option 2.

Option 1: Book one of the time slots that has been set aside for member outings. These are Friday evenings and Saturday afternoon/evenings that are popular time slots and we have reserved some specifically for members. The links below will take you to our square store where you will be able to directly purchase your outings for the number of sheets you need. The sheets available column of this table will be updated daily, but may not reflect the most up to date availability, which will be reflected in the store. Once you have paid for your outing then you are all set! If none of these dates+times work for your group, or they are all sold out, please see option 2.

Option 2: You are still able to book any free ice time that you would like to bring a group in. This option has a few steps to complete, and your reservation will only be finalized once the payment step has been finished.

  1. Look at the club calendar to find an open ice time for your group to come in.
  2. Fill in a calendar reservation. Be sure to correctly enter the date and times at the bottom. Also select the sheets that you wish to reserve. If you check the calendar again, your reservation should be visible at the date and time you specified. If not, reach out to Matt @ This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  3. Purchase a general member outing through the square store. Only after this step will your reservation be finalized.

Good curling!

Before any participant or spectator can enter the cold room (the big space with the frozen water) a release of liability form must be signed. A parent or guardian must sign the form for anyone under the age of 18.

The waiver is good for the duration of the season.  So returning visitors only have to sign a release of liability on their first visit of each season.

If clinic participants register individually on this website, acknowledgement of the online release of liability during the signup process is all that is required. This is not available to private group bookings however, and organizers of these outings are encouraged to download the release of liability form below and distribute to their group so that they can be completed and brought to the outing.
