As of August 11, 2022, the CDC has updated guidelines for minimizing the impact of COVID-19 on the community. While COVID-19 is still a significant public health issue, the changes in CDC guidance marks a move towards individuals making their own decisions on their personal level of risk and how best to manage that risk.
On September 11, 2022, the CCC board approved updated COVID-19 policies and best practices for the 2022-23 season. The full policy text can be view at CCC Public Health and Safety Policies.
Summary of Key Health and Safety Protocols and Best Practices as of September 11, 2022
- If the Covid-19 Community Level in is designated Orange or if there is significant spread within the membership that disrupts operations, the board may implement temporary masking requirements to prevent further spread
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccines is NOT required but vaccinations and boosters are highly recommended.
- Anyone that tests positive for COVID-19 and has been at the club should inform the President (Kirsten Dangaran) or the Membership Committee Chair (Maria Maxwell) ASAP so a communication about possible exposure can be sent to members and guests.
- After infection, you can return to play or join your outing/LTC/IL 10 days from the time of your positive COVID test result. OR you can return if you test negative for COVID test after day 5 AND you are fever-free fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and symptoms improving.
- After covid infection, please wear a mask while at the club (medical, KN95, N95) through day 10 with day 0 being the time of your positive test. Alternatively, if you have access to antigen tests, you should consider using them. With two sequential negative tests 48 hours apart, you may remove your mask sooner than day 10.
- Please do not come to the club if you test positive for COVID.
